Here at The Rushbury Pig we offer:
Welcome to The Rushbury Pig Website!
We are a family smallholding keeping our pigs in our back garden and in just over 3 acres of woodland and pasture close
to our home.
We have a small herd of free range traditional rare breed pigs registered as ‘The Rushbury Vale Herd’ that live
on Wenlock Edge above the village of Rushbury nestled in the Apedale in Shropshire, West Midlands. We specialise in traditional
quality porker pigs and 'pet pigs' and have a small breeding herd of pedigree registered Berkshire and Kunekune Pigs stocking
some of the rarest bloodlines. We are now also home to Little Swedish Pigs a very recently imported small pig breed from
Sweden.
We are committed to raising the profile of traditional rare breed pigs and rearing them with compassion in
a natural outdoor environment. We aim to do this by breeding quality pedigree registered weaners for sale and by training the
next generation of pig breeders and keepers through the delivery of our very popular specialist courses. We aim to show people
that they can successfully keep and breed rare breed pigs in their back garden, woodland, orchard or grass pasture.
We
are in close contact with an increasing number of local breeders of a variety of breeds of pedigree pigs in South Shropshire
so can often help you find weaners of all types of breed.
